Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she was five, she relocated from London to Oxfordshire to attend the Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she decided she wanted to become an actress. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she studied acting and singing. At the age of ten the actress took part in and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was first cast in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting agent by her Oxford drama instructor. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after they all had eight straight auditions. Emma's first film on the screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. It broke all records for the opening weekend and sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, and especially those who were young. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British paper, called Emma's performances "amazing". In the following days, Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her performance in the film, winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in the feature Film.
